Melanin is all about humanity. It is the force of nature that unites us. All human beings save Albino’s have melanin coursing through our bodies.
Tanning. Age spots. Freckles. Moles. Whole bodies, in various degrees. Like the blood running warm in our veins, our DNA, two ears, one nose, one brain, various organs, Melanin is one of the molecular entities that we all share.
So why then do so many despise other human beings based on skin color? How do we help? I think it’s simply a matter of engaging minds, expanding thought patterns, gaining a good understanding of what we share… Melanin! If you are not an Albino, then you have Melanin. Period. If you tan, even the slightest, you have melanin. If your largest organ, your skin, is beautifully saturated in Melanin, affording you a natural tan, you just have more!!!
Cultural differences should be embraced and appreciated.
Treating others less than we treat ourselves, based on the degree of Melanin one has, well, that’s just sad. Let’s make a difference! Let’s embrace all life! Especially human life! MelaninDot exists to do just that! We have incredible products that you can wear and use to proudly proclaim the tiny molecular entity that is larger than life and unites humanity, MELANIN!!! My favorite is the United Shades of Melanin artwork. We will introduce a new United Shades of Melanin design a few times a year to embrace all cultures. A very dear friend asked me if she had Melanin. She is Anglo-Saxon/Caucasian. I asked her if she is an Albino. She said no. The simple answer to her question is yes! She has Melanin too!
